Bankley studios and art gallery

Bankley studios

Studios

The studio currently has over 30 Artists in residence working across a range of disciplines including painting, textiles, photography, installation, sculpture and ceramics. The studios are located in Levenshulme, Manchester and were set up in 1992, officially becoming a co-operative in 1998. Each year there is an Open Studios event which enables the public a view into the individual work spaces of the resident Artists over one weekend. Enquiries about studio spaces should be directed to the Studio Co-ordinator, all other queries regarding the studios should be directed to the Secretary.

In addition to the studio spaces there is also an artist run gallery space, which is curated by our Exhibition Officer.

Visiting Bankley Studios & Gallery

Unfortunately, as our studio spaces are for resident Artists to explore their own practice, we are not open to the public on a regular basis. If you are interested in seeing the studios, please come along to our next Open Studios event. Or, if you are interested in a particular artist, please get in touch via our contact page. Alternatively, our gallery has a calendar of exhibtions throughout the year that are open to the public, which you can see on our Gallery events list.
