studio scholarship notes draft

I would like to apply for the studio scholarship as It would be beneficial to my artistic practice with having the routine a studio would provide along with the community of other artists. I also think the studio would provide opportunity for connecting with the art-world, and opportunities to get involved. The studio would give me opportunity to develop my painting skills and to improve on technique. I would be able to develop my artistic practice by experimentation and the space to practice. I would like to become more involved in local exhibitions and getting to know local artists. I would like to continue my practice in a space where there would be other practicing artists and to be part of an artistic community, I would also like to be involved with shows and gain further experience in order to put on shows myself and with other artists.

My work needs to be studio based because I am working from medium to large scale oil paintings which require space for experimentation and to be able to stand back and observe. Without a studio space the scale of the work which I want to continue with would not be manageable. A studio space would be beneficial towards me documenting my work professionally in order to submit work to exhibtions and other oppurtunities i hope to engage in. A studio would help me to continue to build a routine with painting, I tend to like to work for a long time whilst painting but then being able to separate myself from the studio so I have the time and space to think about my next move with a piece of work.
 A studio would allow me to continue daily interactions with other practicing artists which would inspire and motivate me greatly, It would  also be beneficial to be part of an artistic community.
