art technician halifax academy

Required from May 2019, The Halifax Academy requires an Art Technician to work within our Performance and Design faculty. The post holder will have a keen interest in art and be able to demonstrate this with a portfolio. The post is to cover the current postholder's maternity cover.

The role will include supporting teaching and learning by working under an agreed system of guidance and management with a degree of autonomy. This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups of students.

The successful candidate will be able to:

• Form effective relationships with parents, carers and outside agencies
• Be a positive role model for our students

The successful candidate will be involved in:

• improving learning and teaching
• raising achievement
• tracking students individual performance and implementing intervention strategies
• supporting students with medical needs
