I am currently a fine art student part of a busy studio culture in the art school, I work well in a studio environment and the studio offers me to be part of an artistic community. I plan to continue to work in a studio environment after graduation. The programme would offer me the opportunity to continue building a routine in a studio environment, this would be beneficial to my practice as it would enable me to schedule the hours I would spend in the studio which would provide a flow to my practice. help me develop my business style, give me time to conceptualise what structure works best for me. I can use it as a framework for future,exhibitions, commission work, and other projects. The programme would offer me the chance to work along side other artists, get involved in group exhibitions as well as other opportunities. I want my practice to continue as an independent project but I also would like to get involved in group projects and have interactions with other artists to prevent my practice from being isolating. Working with other artists would offer me guidance and support in order for me to develop my practice and work towards my career as an artist. influences from artist community help practice to grow.
Through the programme I would like to further develop my skills in painting and animation. I paint mostly figuratively, focusing on self portraiture as well as including a whole figure, I would like to be further trained in painting the figure as I think this would be majorly beneficial to my practice, My practice pushes to be strong on technique as well as remaining free and gestural. I think further training in painting would hold a confidence in the work and would professionalise the work in order to show in exhibitions.
Through the programme I would like to develop a networking style.
through the programme I would benefit from having a mentor, In order for me to develop ideas and have someone to share my ideas with.

The scholarship programme would provide me with the opportunity to develop my artistic practice as well as getting involved in exhibitions and other opportunities.
I want to push my abilities as an artist, for example,to be more experimental and to strengthen my ideas and technique.
The scale of my work is constantly growing and I hope to be able to expand my paintings by adding backdrops.
I would like to be able to experiment further with material, for example, I am interested in the manipulation of paint, how I can form and layer bold brushstrokes to work as one.
I would like to apply for commissions, open calls as well as other things which would be appropriate for developing my practice.
I would like to be working in a studio environment, the social aspect of a studio would be beneficial to my practice , meeting and working along side other artists would be both inspiring and constructive as it would be a way to make connections with artists and work on group projects.
The benefits of getting to know other artists would encourage me to get involved in exhibitions; I would be able to contribute and gain from a supportive group of artists.
I would like to be able to be part of an open studios event, I think this would be a good experience showing my practice to the public and it would help me develop my networking skills.
