Salary: Grade 2 £17,391p.a. (pro rata) (salary plus any additional payments)
Actual Salary: £6,955 p.a.
Hours: 14.66 per week .To be worked on Saturday & Monday
Based: Gallery Oldham, Cultural Quarter, Greaves St, Oldham OL1 1AL

We are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic and customer focused Visitor Experience Assistant to join our team

We are looking for a confident and self-motivated person who is interested in arts and heritage and enthusiastic about delivering a people friendly service.
Key responsibilities
  • To assist in the delivery of a customer focused effective, efficient and high quality gallery and heritage service for all members of the public.
  • To assist in the organisation and security of exhibitions and the care of collections
  • To actively support the delivery of family and educational activities and events
Key Requirements

To succeed in this role you will need as a minimum:
  • Experience of working in a customer services environment
  • Experience of working as part of a team
  • Effective communication skills
  • Able to assist with mounting and dismounting of exhibitions including packing and unpacking of objects and accompanying exhibits in transit
  • Ability to assist with carrying out environmental checks and controls
  • Ability to provide security and maintenance of art gallery and museum collections by being alert, responsive and able to deal appropriately with issues.
  • Ability to actively support the delivery of family and educational activities and events
